Motorists are Required to Capture Biometrics When Renewing Smart Driving Licences, NTSA clarifies

Motorists renewing their smart driving licenses are required to undergo biometric capture before their applications can be processed, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has clarified.
The authority said drivers who have paid for license renewal online but have not had their biometrics captured must visit an NTSA office or a nearby Huduma Centre to have their biometrics captured.
The clarification comes amid complaints about delays in receiving renewed driving licenses after motorists have paid for them.
In response, the authority explained that the delay might have been due to the motorists not presenting themselves for biometric capture.
