The wife of Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has died after she suddenly collapsed following a suspected heart attack.
Khalwale confirmed that his wife died on Saturday morning, although he did not disclose whether she had been battling any illness before her sudden death.
Messages of condolence continued to pour in following her death, with Linda Mwananchi, Principal Edwin Sifuna, and other leaders sending their condolences to Khalwale and his family.
“Omwami Khalwale, pole sana for your loss. May God comfort you and your family in this difficult time. Khulialala Omwami. May her soul rest in peace,” Sifuna said.
National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee Chair Samuel Atandi also condoled with Khalwale and his family.
“Very sorry, Senator. May God comfort you and your family during this difficult time,” Atandi said.
Former Principal Secretary Irungu Nyakera also condoled with Khalwale and his family, wishing them strength and comfort during the difficult period.
Sekeiyan was also the mother of Engine Kukaste Khalwale, who recently graduated as a Certified Full-Stack Software Engineer from Moringa School.
Khalwale has previously spoken publicly about his family, revealing in February 2024 that he had four wives and 17 children. His late wife Sekeiyan was his third wife.
His first wife, the late Adelaide Khalwale, was the mother of his first three children and died in 2019.
His second wife, Josephine Khalwale, is the mother of three children, while his fourth wife, Diana Khalwale, is also the mother of three children.
